"He who trims himself to suit everyone will soon whittle himself away."
- Raymond Hull
Have you ever thought about the different you’s that you do?
There’s the work you, the in-laws you, the friends you, the parents you, the relationship you, the customer you, the gym you, the sweat-pants you, the suited up you, the shopping you, the Saturday night out you, the Saturday night in you.
But have you ever thought about which one is the real you?
Is one of the you’s that you give out to the world the actual you, or are you a mixture of you’s or maybe none at all?
Why is it that we change the way we act/speak/behave when we’re in different situations?
Like, we’ll yell at our
parents and storm off one minute then the next we’ll be happy, loud and out going
as soon as our friends are around.
Is one you happier than the other? Or is it even fair to compare you’s?
Penny for your thoughts.
(Why do Saturday nights in Sophie’s have to be so complicated!?)
